Oak Flats Bowling & Recreation Club
Rana Environmental has been working with Oak Flats Bowling Recreation Club since November 2008. The Club has embraced sustainability and laid witness to a fundamental cultural shift within the organisation, in turn establishing a reputation as a leading practitioner of sustainability, not only within the Club Industry but also within the wider business community.
During this period the Club has achieved the following outcomes, contributing to significant cost savings, reduced environmental impact and enhanced community reputation.
Achievements
- First business within the Illawarra, and Club within NSW, to attain Gold Membership of the Office of Environment & Heritage, Sustainability Advantage Program in 2014
- Winner Australian Business Awards – Sustainability Category 2013
- Winner Green Globe – Sustainability Small Business Awards 2013
- First Club in Australia to be certified Carbon Neutral under the National Carbon Offset Standard in 2013
